Sharlands Farm is just 3 miles from Bude with its 5 superb local sandy beaches and some of the best surfing in the country at Widemouth Bay. Many of the young families who holiday with us enjoy the relaxing nature of a stay at Sharlands Farm. The local area around Bude has a wide variety of attractions that cater for different ages. The small village of Marhamchurch is 1/2 mile away with its village pub, shop, church and village playpark. Parents and children enjoy the family theme parks of The Milky Way and The Big Sheep. A day trip to the Eden Project or a visit to the local Splash pool and bowling alley in Bude are also popular.
Sharlands Farm Self Catering Holiday Cottages consists of 3 self-catering holiday cottages that cater for a variety of family sizes. In addition Sharlands Farm B&B offer 3 double letting rooms with ensuite on a bed and breakfast basis. All are located in a quiet and picturesque valley within the farm setting and are surrounded by countryside. Our goats, kune kune pigs and poultry are always popular with our holiday makers, none more so than the free range ducks and chickens. Both young and old enjoy feeding and having contact with the animals. Fishing for brown trout on our stretch of the River Neet has proved to be very popular with our visitors. Take a stroll in one of our fields or down the river and enjoy the simple pleasure of flying a kite with the children or spotting the wide variety of birds that can be seen at Sharlands Farm.
We produce our own self guided walk for the area around Bude and the local coast path. The walks are of a variety of lengths and range from short walks suitable for a young family with a pushchair to more challenging walks involving the local spectacular coastal footpath. The walks are circular in nature. Some walks start and finish at Sharlands Farm with no need to use the car. Others start from suitable car parks or after a bus journey.
All 3 cottages and the B&B rooms have free internet access with wi-fi available.
